Therapy Integrated Learning Program (TILP): Real-Life Progress for Ages 3–6
TILP is early intervention built into a structured learning day. Instead of bouncing between separate appointments, your child practices communication, regulation, and participation skills during real routines, transitions, and group activities—supported by one coordinated team. You get a clearer plan, less driving, and more confidence that it’s actually working at home and in preschool.
If This Is Your Week… This Program Is For You
The Runaround: Too Many Appointments, Too Much Driving
If you’re juggling OT, SLP, behaviour support, and preschool schedules—your week can feel like a logistics job. Families tell us they’re burning time and gas trying to match therapist availability, rush across town, and still make it work at home.
Group Programs” That Don’t Feel Therapeutic
Some group sessions look busy and fun—but offer minimal real intervention. Parents often leave wondering: Was that therapy… or just supervised play? If you’ve felt that mismatch, you’re not alone—and it’s exactly why TILP was created.
TILP in Plain Language
This page introduces the Therapy Integrated Learning Program (TILP) for ages 3–6—a structured learning day where therapy goals are built into real activities (routines, transitions, group play). One coordinated team supports your child so skills are practiced in real time, and carry over into home and preschool.

Families choose Kidstart Pediatric Therapy because they see meaningful progress where it matters most—at home, in preschool/daycare, and in everyday routines. Here’s what parents are saying in their Google Reviews about their experience, the care, and the support their children received.

It has been nice to see the development in our son, he enjoys the sessions and Shawn has been so supportive. The new location has easy to find parking, and their office is much bigger than before allowing for more services to be offered.Posted on Catherine LApril 19, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter fell in love with the new space on the very first day. It is clean and bright with colorful, shiny new toys that excited and captivated her immediately. The team is friendly and professional and we are very happy to work with everyone here including the founder Shawn. My daughter was already working with Shawn at the Vancouver location and has been making very good progress. She is now doing behaviour therapy and will also start doing speech therapy at Kidstart very soon and I couldn't be happier with the fact that she can now receive occupational, behavior and speech therapy with very capable professionals all in one place which makes it much easier for busy parents like us!Posted on Lucas Mason YaoApril 18, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Does Therapy Progress Disappear When “Real Life” Starts?
If your child is making progress in therapy—but it isn’t showing up at preschool, daycare, or during daily routines at home—you’re not alone. Many families work incredibly hard, yet still feel stuck in a cycle of appointments and stress.
01
Progress That Doesn’t Carry Over
Even when therapy is going well, those same skills can disappear in preschool/daycare—especially during transitions, group time, or noisy, unpredictable moments.
02
Routines That Turn Into Battles
Mornings, mealtimes, getting dressed, and bedtime can feel like a daily struggle—leaving everyone stressed, exhausted, and unsure what will actually help.
03
Too Many People to Coordinate
When goals and strategies aren’t aligned across therapists, school, and home, parents end up being the “project manager”—trying to connect the dots and keep everyone on the same page.
Ready to Stop Coordinating Therapies and Start Seeing Results?
If you’re tired of juggling multiple appointments and trying to keep everyone on the same page, TILP offers a simpler path forward. Book a quick consultation to see if the program is the right fit—and learn what next steps look like for your child.

Your Integrated TILP Team
To understand how our team works, imagine building a custom home. The OT / Program Coordinator is the architect and project manager—setting the plan, coordinating the team, and making sure everything stays aligned. The SLP is the communications specialist—helping your child build the “language wiring” for connection and participation. The Behaviour Consultant (BC) is the safety inspector—supporting regulation, routines, and a calm, predictable environment. The ECE is the lead builder and interior designer—creating the daily structure where skills are practiced through learning, play, and transitions. Finally, our Assistants are the skilled tradespeople—supporting the day-to-day routines and activities that bring the plan to life, consistently and intentionally, every day.

Therapy as Learning—So Skills Practice Happens in Real Time
One Integrated Team (Aligned Daily)
Instead of juggling separate appointments, your child is supported by a coordinated team that collaborates in real time—keeping goals, strategies, and progress consistent across the entire program.
Therapy Embedded Into Learning
Skills aren’t “practiced later.” We build communication, regulation, and participation into group activities, routines, and play—so your child learns in the exact moments it matters most.
Predictable Routine for School Readiness
A structured day helps children feel safe and confident. With clear expectations and repeated practice, your child builds independence, smoother transitions, and stronger participation in group.

Instead of parents trying to connect the dots between multiple providers, our specialists collaborate daily to support communication, self-regulation, social participation, and readiness for group learning.
