About the Role
Location: North Road, Burnaby
Salary: $26 – $30
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Kidstart Pediatric Therapy, you will work closely under the guidance and supervision of Registered Occupational Therapists to deliver meaningful and effective interventions. You will support children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, motor challenges, and other pediatric needs.
This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Build a warm, trusting, and positive rapport with clients and their families.
- Observe, track, and report client performance and progress.
- Support the management of therapy equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Provide client and caregiver education under OT direction.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely chart notes and documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, child-centered environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or related field.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification.
