About the Role
Location: North Road, Burnaby
Salary: $30 – $35
Kidstart Pediatric Therapy is looking for a compassionate and motivated Junior Behaviour Consultant to support children and families through behaviour-focused interventions. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills under the guidance of experienced Behaviour Consultants.
This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Behaviour Consultants and families to set behaviour-focused, measurable goals for clients.
- Conduct initial and ongoing behavioural assessments to understand clients’ needs, functioning, and progress.
- Develop and document Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings and industry best practices.
- Deliver direct intervention, consultation, parent coaching, and training to families, teachers, Behaviour Interventionists, and community partners (clinic, home, or community settings).
- Utilize current research to support evidence-based practice in all interventions and recommendations.
- Participate in and support group programs as needed.
- Carry out therapeutic activities under the clinical direction of a qualified consultant or therapist.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining accurate data records for each client.
Requirements
- Maintain professional and ethical standards as outlined by the Behaviour Analyst
Certification Board (BACB) - Must possess or be pursuing BCBA/BCaBA certification
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as a Behavioural Interventionist
