Meeting your needs

Social Group Therapy Information

Thank you for your interest in our Social Group Therapy program!

Our program is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering a supportive and inclusive setting to develop essential social skills. Each session uses a range of tools—including picture books, videos, worksheets, and group games—to create engaging opportunities for learning and practice.

We tailor activities to help children meet age-appropriate social goals, ensuring that our approach is both relevant and effective for their developmental stage.

Groups

We offer two distinct group levels based on age and developmental profiles: one for children aged 4 to 6 years old
and another for those aged 7 to 10 years old. After reviewing the completed intake forms, we will match each child
with peers who have similar profiles to ensure a cohesive and supportive group dynamic. Each group consists of
a maximum of three children to provide personalized attention and enhance the effectiveness of the sessions.

Required Skill

To maintain the high quality of our therapy, we seek children who can communicate their needs and desires, follow routine-based instructions, and do not display significant problem behaviors or distressing behaviors that
pose safety concerns.

Session Time, Frequency, and Duration

We offer various options for session times and frequencies (as detailed in the Intake Form). While we strive to
accommodate preferences, some requests may not be possible due to diverse needs. After receiving the
completed intake form, we will work to align session times and frequencies with family preferences.

Each session is one hour long to ensure the intensity and quality of the therapy. This duration allows us to
maximize opportunities for learners to practice the social skills introduced in both the current and previous
sessions. By consistently reinforcing these skills, we aim to create a strong, lasting impression and achieve a
cumulative effect that enhances overall social development.

Our Social Group Therapy is an ongoing service, continuing indefinitely unless the family decides to withdraw or a
suitable peer is no longer available.

Next Steps in Our Social Group Therapy

If you are interested in enrolling in our Social Group Therapy program, please complete the intake form on the next page. We will reach out to you, once we have identified suitable peers for your child to discuss the session schedule in detail. The initial session will serve as an assessment to get to know the students and understand the  group dynamic.

After this session, our instructor will email the families to outline the initial goals.

Service Termination

If you wish to terminate the program, we kindly request that you provide us with a written notice at least one
month in advance. This notice should be sent via email to ensure we receive it promptly. Thank you for your
cooperation and understanding.

This intake form is designed to help us understand your child’s unique needs and goals, ensuring that we can
tailor our sessions accordingly. Please take your time to fill out this form with as much detail as possible. Your
responses will remain confidential and will be used solely to enhance your therapeutic experience with us.

Once we receive your completed intake form and identify a suitable client match for your child, we will contact you
via email to proceed with the next steps. Please understand that the waiting time may vary based on the profiles of potential clients.
